This Sunday, April 30th, I will join hopefully hundreds (thousands?) of others in a silent vigil on the Golden Gate Bridge and then attend a rally in the Presidio, all to raise awareness of the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Rapes, mass murders, starvation... More than 400,000 Darfurians have died and more than 2.5 million have been displaced from their homes. And it seems to lately be getting worse... So. What does a white girl from Marin County do? She walks. She sets the intention that her action will raise awareness and maybe even help to slow down or even STOP this craziness.
Anyhow. That's what I'm doing Sunday.
