Edinburgh Day 2

The Scott Monument

Starting our walk on the Royal Mile.
Random Americans playing instruments and dancing for official-looking Scottish folk. Rumor was it was the mayor.
Love.
Seriously.

Meeting back up with Janice!

Suzanne's Edinburgh Haiku:
Tom: kicking up floor dust in the

Red arching thunder room.

Stomping. He’s a madman genius on crack.

July 28 (Tom Waits concert, Edinburgh, Scotland)

Photos from this person.

Tom Waits.
I don't know how to describe it but to say it was unbelievable. (see setlist below) Suz and I just kept looking at each other and smiling in disbelief that we were seeing TOM. In SCOTLAND.

His sons were on stage with him, he stomped on bells, he put on a mirrored hat and turned into the Eyeball Kid (coolest effect ever), he orchestrated applause, he threw endless sparkly confetti... I teared up when he sang "Take It with Me" at the piano because it was so gruff and touching and our trip was almost over...
Amazing.
