fast & OLDBOY

yesterday i did a one-day fast.
seemed easy enough and my body was really asking for a break..

omg.

i've done fasts/cleanses before, but usually i take time to plan 'em out and then i'm prepared for whatever shows up.

by 3 p.m. i was grumpy. at 5, spacey with a dull headache. i kept doing readings on myself; "would it be ok if i have some juice?" no. "how about broth?" no. "FINE!"

my body wanted nothing but tea and water.

one thing i did realize as the process went on, was that i was much less patient when talking with people. and i found it a huge relief to not have to act a certain way to speak my truth. short and sweet without any care as to how it was received. niiiiice...

to while away the evening hours, i watched a good Korean movie called OLDBOY. it is a psychological thriller that played in the subway trains when i was in Seoul in Feb. it piqued my interest then and i'm glad, not-so-glad i found it. rent it and you'll see what i mean. it had me saying 'eww' more than a few times but it was good to the end...

YAY! I just watched FACE. It's a cheesy easy-to-convert-to-an-american horror movie. perfect for the halloween season.
